Getting Started with Kitlytics

Create your first AI-powered email campaign in under 5 minutes. This guide shows you how to connect your Kit account, generate campaigns using proven frameworks like Curiosity Gap, and deploy with one click.

Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Connect Your Kit Account
Secure OAuth2 authentication - takes 30 seconds

  1. Click "Start Free Trial" on the Kitlytics homepage
  2. Click "Connect Kit Account" - you'll be redirected to Kit
  3. Authorize Kitlytics - we request read-only access to:
    • Subscribers & email stats
    • Product & purchase data
    • Broadcast creation (to deploy campaigns)
  4. Done! You'll be redirected to your Kitlytics dashboard

🔒 Security Note: Kitlytics uses OAuth2 (same security as "Sign in with Google"). We never see your Kit password, and you can revoke access anytime from your Kit account settings.

Step 3: Generate Your First Campaign
Let AI create a high-converting email in minutes

    Click "AI Campaigns" in the sidebar, then "Create New Campaign"

    Choose campaign type:
    • Single Email - One-time broadcast
    • Email Sequence - 3, 5, or 7-email drip campaign

    Select campaign goal:
    • Product Launch - Promote and sell a product
    • Nurture - Build trust with new subscribers
    • Upsell - Sell to existing customers
    • Re-engagement - Win back inactive subscribers

    Choose a copywriting framework:
    • Curiosity Gap (Recommended) - 18% higher open rates
    • Hook-Story-Offer - Russell Brunson's framework
    • Golden Circle - Simon Sinek's Why-How-What
    • AIDA - Classic Attention-Interest-Desire-Action
    • Problem-Agitate-Solve - Direct response copy

    Select your product (for Product Launch/Upsell campaigns)

    ⚠️ Important: Product URL Required

    Kit's API doesn't provide product URLs, so you'll need to paste yours:

    1. After selecting a product, you'll see a "Product URL" input field
    2. Go to your Kit dashboard → Products → Click your product
    3. Copy the URL (e.g., https://your-name.kit.com/products/your-product)
    4. Paste it into Kitlytics
    5. Click "Generate Campaign"

    AI analyzes your data and generates:
    • 5 unique subject line options (tested formulas)
    • Compelling email body copy
    • Preview text that complements subject line
    • Clear call-to-action
    • Performance predictions (estimated opens, clicks, revenue)

✨ Pro Tip: The AI uses YOUR historical data (open rates, click rates, subscriber behavior) to create campaigns optimized for YOUR audience—not generic templates!

Step 4: Review & Customize

Once generated, you have full control to customize:

Subject Line: Choose from 5 AI-generated options or write your own
Email Body: Edit the copy to match your brand voice
Preview Text: Customize what appears in inbox previews
Performance Predictions: See estimated opens, clicks, conversions, and revenue
Preview: Click "Preview" to see how your email looks

💡 Remember: AI provides the smart foundation, but you add the final polish to make it perfect for your audience!

Step 5: Deploy to Kit
Send your campaign with one click

    Click "Deploy to Kit" when you're happy with your campaign
  2. 2
    Choose deployment options:
    • Save as draft (recommended first time)
    • Schedule for later
    • Send immediately (advanced)

    Campaign created in Kit! You'll see a confirmation with:
    • Link to view in Kit dashboard
    • Broadcast ID for tracking
    • Next steps reminder

    Go to Kit dashboard to:
    • Review the broadcast one more time
    • Set audience filters if needed
    • Send test email to yourself
    • Activate and send to subscribers!

⚠️ Important: Campaigns are created as DRAFTS in Kit by default. You must manually activate them in your Kit dashboard before they send. This gives you one final chance to review everything!

Best Practices for Success

Always paste the correct product URL - Copy it directly from your Kit product page
Send test emails first - Use Kit's "Send Test" feature before going live
Edit AI copy to match your voice - AI provides the structure, you add personality
Test different subject lines - AI gives you 5 options—try A/B testing them
Check predictions vs actuals - Compare AI predictions to real results to improve over time
Use sequences for nurturing - 3-7 email sequences convert better than single emails
